Alcohol

Alcohol, being ubiquitous and widely available, provides its own unique associated problems- often producing an insidious course, toxic effects throughout the body and on multiple organ systems, and even a profound, potentially lethal withdrawal syndrome. Dr. Dhrymes has extensive experience treating both alcohol withdrawal, and on an ongoing basis, supporting recovery from alcohol abuse. His approach includes a detailed assessment, motivational interviewing, specific forms of psychotherapy, and could include medication as well, including naltrexone, which is available by long acting injection.
